Repetitive Chaos
amadeuseisenberg1 February 2021
The game is not that bad, but it gets insanely repetitive. Every mission will have you doing many of the same things and it's very predictable. The game is also FILLED with escort missions. I think every mission has one or more of that. Kill enemies, escort mission, rescue mission, hostage situation...rinse and repeat, in whichever order.

A great game
JanglesBo9 July 2006
I bought Urban Chaos about a week after it came out. This game did not have much publicity. Anyway

Where do i start, this game is great but it is held down by some areas that could have been better

GRAPHICS The graphics are above average for a 3 year old console, but then again many other xbox games have much better graphics than, this. Otherwise they are good, the only real problem with them is some texture issues etc.

GAMEPLAY This is where the game gets most of its points. The game play in UCRR is extremely fun and engaging. the game pits you in many situations where you will have to save civilians from a burning building, hold back packs of gangs (the burners, main gang in story) and many more situations that will get your heart rate up. The game has a very arcade like feel to it will makes it even more fun, some deaths will be in slow motion showing the gangmembers body crumple to the ground in a heap. You can control the slow mo by twirling the thumb stick twice and the next kill you do will be slow mo (A very welcomed ability)

STORY Well, the story isn't going to win any awards but its still engaging etc. Its about an ex marine Nick Mason (You) who is called back to his home city to take it back from a gang called the burners. The burners are very brutal and most of them wear hockey masks to scare the Cr*p out of you.

REPLAY VALUE UCRR have great replay value as it has a reward system. For example in missions you are challenged to get 10 head shots (or more) and if you do you get a medal at the end. If you collect enough you unlock various items eg. grenades, guns etc.

CONCLUSION In conclusion, this game is a great addition to any fps fans collection

The Absolute best FPS that I've played on PS2
nima-nk1016 May 2021
PS2's controller is not built for first person shooters. A decent game like "Killzone" is a chore to play on that console (the in-game settings were also to blame on that case). Even a really impressive game like "Black" (my second favorite fps on ps2) is not quite a satisfying experience (it would be better on PC). But this game's controls are surprisingly good. I had a blast playing it. Headshoting an enemy is as satisfying as headshots in a pc or a modern console shooter game. My favorite fps on ps2 ever.
