This short film is about a slacker (Werner) who never seems to do any work on his job. Again and again, he does everything but work. However, one day everything changes. When he comes to work, he finds his office has changed--he now has an audience watching his every move. Now, his totally boring job is apparently some reality TV show and even the most mundane activity keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. At first, he likes the audience and eats up their applause. However, over time, the audience seems rather bored and Werner is anxious to get them behind him once again.
The film is strange and the idea behind it is very good. However, like Bob the Moo pointed out in his review, the film, though enjoyable, doesn't offer enough to make it stand out from other short films. I think this is because although the idea was very good, the ending wasn't the strongest aspect of the film. Still, you have to like the quirkiness and charm of such an unusual little film.
By the way, I saw this film posted on Movieola's web site. Oddly, it was dubbed into French with English subtitles and I have no idea why--especially since the film was originally in English and the site is English language! Very odd.
