Best Shoujo Romance Anime of All Time — You’re Not Ready for These(Photo Credit –IMDb)
Best shoujo anime aren’t always high-school romances. They often explore multiple genres, offering stories that go beyond the scope of typical teenage love.
Anime like “Naruto,” “Jujutsu Kaisen,” “Dragon Ball Z,” and many more have the baton for being the signature anime for the industry; they are what many call ‘shonen’ anime. However, other genres have good shows. One highly overlooked genre is the ‘shoujo’ genre in anime and manga. It gets ignored often because of its cutesy vibes and girly undertones.
Shoujo means ‘girl’ anime and is mainly aimed at teenage girls and young adult women. These anime and manga almost always have females as their lead characters and are mostly centered around romance. They also sometimes have mystery, action, and fantasy blended into them. Here are some perfect shoujo romance anime to watch.

(Welcome to Ani-time Ani-where, a regular column dedicated to helping the uninitiated understand and appreciate the world of anime.)
Music is an instrumental part of anime. There are hundreds of shows about music, filled with musical performances. But the vast majority of them are just about singers or bands trying to make it big. Actual musicals are next to non-existent, and spontaneously breaking into song isn't really a thing in anime. This is why any show that dares explore the theatricality of musicals is worth checking out.
One such anime is "Dance with Devils," a musical that's also a reverse harem — meaning, a story about a single girl being pursued by many male love interests. The story follows Ritsuka, a regular high school girl whose mother gets kidnapped one day. It turns out, Ritsuka holds the key to finding a magical artifact called the Grimoire, which holds tremendous power,...

"Ouran High School Host Club" is beloved for its cheeky comedy, but the anime series is especially groundbreaking because it challenges gender roles.
The series revolves around Haruhi, a female scholarship student at a private school. When she accidentally breaks a vase in one of the club rooms, she finds herself indebted to the Host Club, a group of boys that entertain and flirt with schoolgirls for a fee. Mistaken for a male student due to her short hair and androgynous outfit, Haruhi starts working as an errand boy to pay off her debt. When the other club members make her a host, her soft-spoken nature becomes popular with the clients.
When Haruhi first appears on the show, she is dressed in a "commoner's" outfit because she can't afford her school's uniform. The male and female uniforms differ drastically, so her gender-ambiguous clothing leads the Hosts to believe that she is a boy.

If you're a fan of the reverse harem manga, especially ones geared towards fujoshi (female fans of fictional gay content), you've probably heard of "Ouran High School Host Club." Created by Bisco Hatori, this series has been adapted into a hugely successful anime series directed by Takuya Igarashi, a Japanese live-action drama, a live-action film, and more, and continues to be popular to this day.
The comedic series focuses on the scholarship student, Haruhi Fujioka, who is just trying to survive the chaos that takes place at the prestigious Ouran Academy. With an eccentric and wealthy student body making it near impossible for the poor student to study, she tries to hole herself up in the campus' music room. Unfortunately, this room is not just for music. Nay, it is where the Ouran Academy Host Club has made its home. Comprised of six male students, these students gather to entertain...

Folks! It is finally happening. One of the best anime shows ever made, as well as the one good adaptation of one of the greatest manga of all time, is finally coming to streaming.
At a time when availability is becoming an important issue in media as big corporations are erasing entire titles from existence with the push of a button, concepts like piracy as historical preservation are being discussed in a new light, even by creators. If there is literally no legal way to watch a show, should you pirate it? Does it hurt a show when, after years of unavailability and bootlegging, it finally becomes available? "Neon Genesis Evangelion" was a hit on Netflix when it finally became available to stream and got everyone talking about it for the first time in years.
Thankfully, we don't have to debate this any longer, at least not when it comes...
