Caitlyn Jenner picked up the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage at this year's Espy Awards. The onetime decathlete gave a thorough, enlightening speech about her own experiences as a transgender woman, some statistics concerning suicide and safety among transgender youth, and advocacy for acceptance. Considering Jenner admits she only met another transgender person for the first time months ago, it's especially rad that she's seized the opportunity to be a visible advocate for the transgender community. And the accolades keep on coming for Caitlyn Jenner.  Espn confirms to E! News that the 65-year-old star will be honored at the 2015 Espy Awards and will receive the prestigious Arthur Ashe Courage Award in July.  Past recipients of the honor include Michael Sam, the NFL league's first openly gay player, Good Morning America's Robin Roberts and former women's college basketball coach Pat Summitt. Robin Roberts, news anchor for Good Morning America, recently came out as gay publicly, but her longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign, remains somewhat of a mystery.

Roberts came out in a Facebook post reflecting on the year 2013 posted on Dec. 29, 2013.

“I am grateful for my entire family, my long time girlfriend, Amber, and friends as we prepare to celebrate a glorious new year together," Roberts wrote.

The announcement came as no surprise to those who work with Roberts and those who know her personally; Roberts has been out to her friends and family for a long time. And, following the post, Roberts received an outpouring of love from fans and supporters.

The "Good Morning America" anchor headed out to the west coast from the Big Apple earlier this week, tweeting, "Beautiful morn here in La. Waiting for my family & dear friends including @JoshElliottABC to arrive. Excited about @espn #espy's! #SoLucky."

After suffering another health scare earlier this month while on vacation, Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts gave an update on her fragile health in a Facebook post on Wednesday.

Roberts was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, formerly known as "pre-leukemia," last year and took medical leave last fall to receive a bone marrow transplant.

Although she was able to make a return to Gma in February, the 52-year-old experienced a health setback when she took a recent vacation and was admitted the hospital once again.

However, she confirms that she is now in much better health.

"Just got home from a good doctor's visit. The viruses I picked up on vacation (arggggh!) are well under control now. Quite common for this to happen post bone marrow transplant as my immune system continues to mature," the newscaster wrote on her Facebook page.
