Before the film was fully completed it was shown at the Festival Finale Plzen (2006) and was immediately granted a Special Award for "Originality and Support for Suppressed Minorities."
The film was produced with a cash budget of just over 6,000 USD, making it one of lowest-budget award-winning features of all time.
Writer, Producer and Director Sir Tijn Po has served as assistant director for Jan Svankmajer on Little Otik (2000) a.k.a. "Little Otik" and worked on the production of Lunacy (2005) a.k.a. Lunacy. This is Sir Tijn Po's feature-length directorial debut.
