    • Trivia
This episode (as well as The Moonbase: Episode 1 (1967)) is among the 97 episodes of Doctor Who (1963) that are missing from the BBC archives.
    • Goofs
At the end, the Doctor looks through an ordinary visible-light microscope and announces he has discovered the "neurotropic virus" that causes the disease that has sickened crew members on the moon base. Viruses are too small to be seen in a visible-light microscope; they can only be "seen" via an electron microscope or through X-ray crystallography.

    The Cybermen explain their intentions.

The Cybermen are now in control of the Moonbase, complete with their converted humans.

This is again, another well constructed good episode, and is a key story in the development of The Cybermen, despite it being only their second outing, they're perfectly in keeping with their ruthless nature.

It hasn't been the greatest story for Jamie so far, bed ridden, perhaps one two many in the TARDIS as things stand. A great episode for Polly, she's brave, and uses her ingenuity to good use. Why do they have nail varnish remover on The Moonbase?

Sadly it's another missing episode, but at least we have Part two, which gave us a flavour, the sets and Cybermen etc, and was perhaps the best episode. I would think the end scene of the Cybermen marching towards The Moonbase looked great.

    Very good. 8/10
