Fan-Favorite Harem Anime The Quintessential Quintuplets Gets 'Magical' New Fantasy Release This September
Image
A new trailer for The Quintessential Quintuplets' brand-new fantasy adventure, alongside artwork of the Nakano sisters' new magical outfits, has been released. The upcoming release marks the first time the fan-favorite harem series has shifted genres from romance to an isekai-like fantasy.

The Quintessential Quintuplets announced a brand-new video game for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles. Unlike previous installments, which reformatted the harem comedy into a visual novel, the upcoming new release is a role-playing dungeon exploration game that transforms the beautiful Nakano sisters into magical users. The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy will be released in Japan on Sept. 18, 2025. An international release has yet to be announced. However, previous games were made available in the U.S. by Spike Chunsoft.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha is a long-running, yet tragically underrated magical girl anime franchise. The Nanoha franchise recently finished airing a TV-edited version of the two recap films from the 2010s, and following that, it was revealed that Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha...

Magical Girl Anime With the Best Fight Scenes
Image
The perception of the magical girl genre doesn't often line up with reality. People who don't watch magical girl anime often suspect the franchise doesn't spend very much time on its fight scenes. However, for many of the most popular series, this couldn't be further from the truth.

There are several magical girl anime that have fight scenes on par with the average shonen anime. While some of these feature the leads relying on magic and long-distance fighting, others aren't afraid to display close-quarters combat. Animation studios spare no expense for these fights, either, resulting in some of the best combat scenes in anime.
