Paint Your Office (#6.6)
ComedyFan20101 June 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Norm has really outdone his credit in the bar and Rebecca cuts him off. Out of kindness she lets him paint her office to make some money. There he sees her cry because of being in love with her boss. This way they get to know each other and like each other more. Sam tries to use it to get to Rebecca but she sees through it.

Not too much happening in this episode, but still a pretty entertaining one. Norm is usually a good centre character and it is nice to get to know Rebecca more. Her character is the new one that needs more introduction to the audience. I just really hope they don't plan to hook her up with Sam. The two would make way more sense than him and Diane, but it would be an outdone story.

Coolish... In The Brisk Area
Bolesroor29 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
This is the episode in which Norm changes professions: he goes from out-of-work accountant to out-of-work house-painter, but first he puts a new coat of paint on the walls of Rebecca's office, getting to know her in the process.

The first part of this episode is a lot of fun... it pairs the new character of Rebecca with the under-used Norm, and we get to learn about her personal life in a low-pressure scenario: she's in love with her boss Evan Drake, who considers her a screw-up at best. There's something sweet about the combination of Ms. Howe and Mr. Peterson, and it gives the episode an easy charm. The last act, however, goes wrong when Sam attempts to exploit Rebecca's sensitivity in a crass attempt to get her in bed.

He shows up at her house with champagne hidden in a paint bucket and a sports coat under his jumpsuit, making him seem more like a sexual predator than a good-natured everyman. What would he have done if there hadn't been a flood at Norm's house calling him away? Who winds up painting Rebecca's apartment? A flawed finish to a good idea.

Norm Steps Forward
Hitchcoc25 August 2019
When Norm runs his bar bill up to over 800 dollars, Rebecca cuts him off. Of course, it angers everyone but no one is willing to pay his bill. So Rebecca shows pity and allows him to do some painting to earn some money. The two have a meeting of the minds when Norm consoles her. Of course, Sam uses this painting thing to work his way into her apartment and put the moves on her. He really is disgusting at times but she is his equal.
