You're a world-class actor. I would have expected nothing else.

Warning: Spoilers
Season 5 has been one great hour after another. The 21st hour, 3:00 A.M. to 4:00 A.M., proved to be not only the season's highlight, but my favorite episode of the entire series. Now, the highest rated episode according to TV.com is an earlier episode where CTU was attacked by terrorists with the Sentox nerve gas. People loved that episode mostly because a friend of Chloe's died. I personally don't care much about that guy, so the episode wasn't significant for me. President Charles Logan, on the other hand, is one of my two favorite characters on the show (only behind Bill Buchanan). This hour is his absolute shining moment.

Basically, in this hour, he prepares to shoot himself in the head. Yes, you read that right, the President of the United States is about to commit suicide. Where else do you get to see such an outrageous story, other than on 24? But this is not why the episode is so brilliant. It's all in the actor's performance. He really, really could act. His facial expressions were amazing, as he sat there in his office, quietly, thinking about everything. What does a man think about when he's about to die in ten minutes? Deep stuff. It's deep, man. And the actor really pulled it off.

Once again, Graem/Graham didn't disappoint. He calmly, but authoritatively, talks to the President over the phone, and basically advises him to kill himself. This man has got some serious balls, and the actor conveyed that very well.

Logan's dead end
Mr-Fusion19 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The good guys get a reprieve, at last; Jack's escaped from the grounded plane, the recording's finally safe at CTU (ready to be played for the attorney general, no less), Bierko's in irons, and Logan has no cards left to play. It's almost a victory lap for Jack and Audrey, safe and reunited. And hey, Secretary Heller survived the car accident! It's good vibes almost all around.

Except for President Logan, seen with a bottle of bourbon and a loaded gun. Itzin plays the disbelief to the hilt, as Logan makes a few last-minute phone calls to get his affairs in order and offering an apology to Martha. The guy's ready to pull the trigger, but this is "24", and the fat lady hasn't sung yet. Wouldn't you know some two-timing weasel (Stephen Spinella, an ass-kisser from the beginning) is going to intervene and give Logan an out. A terrific ending to a simmering episode.

Why Isn't That Recording Protected Better
Hitchcoc1 February 2019
This is a great episode. Jack's actions on board the plane are incredible. But CTU is so sloppy. There is another fox in the henhouse. That guy that was a friend of Karen's has decided that he will take over. Why isn't there someone right there with Chloe, watching her back? The President was on the very brink when a call came. There is so much set up for the end it is remarkable. One of the better of all the episodes on what is probably the best of the five seasons.

Wrong location

Warning: Spoilers
Jack is supposed to be landing on CA 118 but a quick view of a freeway sign shows Ayala Dr and Riverside Ave coming up in 1/2 and 1 1/2 miles. This is actually in Rialto on the 210 freeway.
