Duckula, Igor and Nanny come to the aid of The Ringmaster at The Circus Straciatella, after his staff walked out after not being paid, however when they get wind of the new recruits, they're determined to get their jobs back.
It doesn't get any wilder than this one, definitely one of the darker episodes, but very funny, packed with slapstick and the usual one liners, Sawdust Ring is another funny episode from series one. I just love the randomness of this show, who knows where they'll end up, or what they'll be doing next, the mind boggles.
What struck me, was that pretty bleak ending, when this is listed as a horror comedy, they weren't lying, for a kid's show, that was quite a macabre final note, I loved it.
Who'd have known Duckypoos would have had a longing to join The Circus.
It's nice to see the regulars in some different costumes, Nanny's Nanita outfit is hilarious.
