Netflix is dropping 31 movies and series the first week of June 2025
Image
You only have a couple of days to watch a bunch of movies, and a handful of series, that will be leaving Netflix in the first week of June 2025. Some months are worse, of course. You might see nearly 50 things leave in some months.

The other key below is that if something is leaving on June 1, that means as of 12:01 am Et, it's gone. You have through the very end of May to stream the flick or show. The first day of each month is the toughest, so of the 31 titles leaving Netflix to start June, 27 of them are at the beginning of the first day.

If you are a Mark Wahlberg, Hugh Grant, or Keira Knightley fan, you might want to call off from work Friday and stay home. Some movies you like will be gone by Sunday. (We apologize in advance for the bad news.)

Spider-Man 2099 Co-Creator And Legendary Hulk And X-factor Writer Peter David Has Died, Aged 68
Image
The comic book world has lost a legend, as Peter David has passed away, aged 68. The prolific writer was known for humanising even the most outlandish characters, becoming a cornerstone of the comic book industry and a storyteller whose work resonated with fans and creators alike.

During his incredible career, David co-created Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099, Maestro, Strong Guy, Genis-Vell, Joe Fixit, and many more.

His most memorable runs included Aquaman, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man 2099, X-Factor, and Young Justice. He also wrote various Star Trek novels and, in the TV realm, penned episodes of Babylon 5, Ben 10, and Young Justice.

David has been suffering from health issues for a while now, and when Medicaid dropped him, a GoFundMe was set up to help the writer. The last update before the news of his death broke was that David was on a ventilator.

On May 20, his wife Kathleen David wrote,...

Here’s What’s Leaving Netflix in June 2025
Image
Here’s another look at what’s leaving Netflix in the United States soon. This is your full guide to all the movies and shows set to leave the platform. That includes Netflix Originals, Sony and Universal movies, and other popular titles.

If you’re wondering why these shows and movies are leaving, the reason is simple. Netflix doesn’t own most of them. It rents them from big studios like Sony, Universal, and Warner Bros. When those rental deals end, the titles leave, sometimes after a month, sometimes after a few years. Even some Netflix Originals leave when their licenses run out. So if you’re wondering whether your favorite movie or show is leaving Netflix next month, here’s a full list:

Warner Bros. Executive Teases New Reboots of “Beloved IP” After Pulling Cartoon Network Shows From Max
Image
After announcing multiple reboots and spin-offs of popular classic Cartoon Network shows, it seems Warner Bros. is doubling down on its plans, teasing that the future of its animation division will involve bringing back existing IP as it "makes good business sense." In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Warner Bros. executive Vanessa Brookman stated, "The easiest way for me to do that now is to do it with our really beloved IP." Interestingly, Warner Bros. wants to bring back classic titles, as there were numerous reports of shows being pulled off Max, like Ben 10, Steven Universe, and The Regular Show, to name a few. It also doesn't help that the Cartoon Network website shut down last year.

But while shows are being pulled from Warner Bros' streaming library, the studio did announce numerous new projects, such as a new season of The Amazing World of Gumball, more Adventure Time content,...

Elden Ring Nightreign Will “Give you an edge” by Letting You Know the Weakness of Every Boss Before the Fight
Image
Elden Ring fans counting down to Nightreign’s May 30 release just got some eye-opening news. Game director Junya Ishizaki revealed that the game will flat-out tell you each boss’s weakness before you fight them—a complete 180 from FromSoftware’s usual “die until you learn” philosophy.

This mechanic flips the traditional Soulslike formula on its head. Instead of wasting hours discovering through painful trial and error that your lightning spells tickle a storm giant, you’ll apparently know exactly what tools to bring to each fight.

Knowledge is power in Nightreign’s boss encounters

The three-player cooperative structure of Elden Ring Nightreign calls for a different approach than its single-player predecessor. With limited time to survive three day-night cycles, players can’t burn precious hours figuring out what hurts each Nightlord through repeated deaths.

‘Demon Slayer’ and ‘Solo Leveling’ Would Quake in Their Knees if This Iconic Cartoon Got an Anime Adaptation
Image
Anime is taking over the world right now! Demon Slayer is bringing those stunning fight scenes with Tanjiro’s fire-breathing shenanigans, and Solo Leveling has got all of us hooked with Sung Jinwoo’s insane ascension from zero to hero. There’s no denying that these anime are behemoths.

But you know what could come and dominate them all? A Ben 10 anime. Yup, that iconic cartoon show about a kid with that wild alien watch that could turn him into a range of animal-like creatures. Just imagine if Ben 10 got the full anime treatment, it could really compete with the best of them.

A Ben 10 anime could leave Demon Slayer and Solo Leveling shaking

Let’s be honest, the premise for Ben 10 is literally tailor-made for anime. Ben has the Omnitrix, which allows him to turn into aliens like Heatblast, the fiery alien composed of a super-hot inner plasma,...

“Grey Matter has changed a lot since Ben 10”: Elden Ring Nightreign Reveals “Libra” Boss Fight and the Similarity Is Uncanny
Image
FromSoftware continues its tradition of creating memorable bosses with its upcoming multiplayer spin-off Elden Ring Nightreign. The latest reveal showcases “Libra, Creature of Night,” one of eight Nightlords players will face after surviving three harrowing nights in the game’s shifting world.

But it wasn’t just the boss’s intimidating presence that caught the community’s attention. Within hours of the reveal, fans were quick to spot something unexpectedly familiar about this fearsome foe—and it has nothing to do with the Lands Between.

When FromSoftware meets Cartoon Network

What happens when a terrifying goat demon meets nostalgic cartoon memories? Internet gold, apparently. The moment the new Elden Ring Nightreign footage hit the web, viewers couldn’t help but notice something oddly familiar about Libra’s appearance.

The exclusive reveal, captured by IGN during their two-day visit to FromSoftware‘s Japan office, shows the intimidating Nightlord in all its...

‘Devil May Cry’ Netflix Review: Adi Shankar Continues His Golden Streak Of Amazing Animated Shows
Image
A few weeks ago, I was watching a video essay from a YouTube channel called DanBoyWonder titled “The Lost Art of Action Cartoons!,” which basically stated that we aren’t getting action-oriented shows like Batman: The Animated Series, Ben 10, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Teen Titans, Swat Kats, Gargoyles, Samurai Jack, Justice League, etc., any more. He argued that recent reboots of older animated shows or the overall landscape of animated shows made in America is really bland. He did say that stuff like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Invincible are decent but not as amazing as the stuff from the good old days. And you know what? I almost agreed with him. But then I realized that any discourse on the current state of American animation is incomplete without bringing up the work that Adi Shankar and his collaborators have done in this space. Castlevania’s four-season run is spectacular.

Cartoon Network, also known as Cn, first debuted in 1992 after being founded by Betty Cohen and Ted Turner. Initially focused on animation, the channel showcased classic and new cartoons, hitting its stride throughout the '90s. Over the years, it produced memorable shows like The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time and Ben 10, cementing its place in pop culture. Now part of Warner Bros. Discovery and consisting of multiple channels, Cartoon Network continues to honor its past while embracing its future,...

20 Years Ago, Avatar: The Last Airbender Changed Kids' Shows (And Television) Forever
Image
"Avatar: The Last Airbender" premiered on Nickelodeon 20 years ago, with the two-part opener airing on February 21, 2005, and the third episode following just four days later on February 25. I was in the second grade at the time, and I learned about the show on the playground. Instead of pantomiming lightsaber battles or whatever passed for football in the second grade, my two best friends told me that they wanted to play "Avatar: The Last Airbender." I didn't watch Nickelodeon, being more of a Saturday morning 4Kids loyalist myself, but you can't admit something like that at recess, so I played along and tried to pick up the "rules" of hurling pretend wind and fire at each other.

That summer, I caught a rerun of "Avatar" Season 1, Episode 6, "Imprisoned," while flipping channels on vacation. By the time the show came back from its mid-Season 1 break in September, I was already hooked, having...

"They Are Soulmates": 'Mythic Quest's Charlotte Nicdao and David Hornsby on How Poppy and Ian's Season 4 Relationship Has Shifted
Image
With an amazing history of comedy and voice performance, Mythic Quest knocked it out of the park, casting Charlotte Nicdao and David Hornsby. Nicdao burst onto the scene with Australian comedies, soon finding herself in front of the camera in massive films like Thor: Ragnarok. She’s also graced Star Trek: Lower Decks, Bluey, and Solar Opposites with her vocal talents. Hornsby famously deteriorated in front of our very eyes as the (fairly) iconic Rickety Cricket on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia but has happily made a nest for himself in some great Cartoon Network shows like We Bare Bears and Ben 10. Now, both co-star in the AppleTV+ series and serve as a writer and director.

Ben 10’s Original Aliens, Ranked Worst To Best
Image
The Ben 10 original aliens stand among the best in animated television history. One of the most beloved cartoons of the 2000s, Ben 10 tells the story of a young boy who becomes wrapped up in countless alien adventures after he fuses with the Omnitrix, an impossibly powerful piece of technology that could transform him into a variety of extraterrestrial life-forms. Ben's well-balanced roster of the original ten aliens made the first series so strong.

Ben 10 spawned countless spin-offs and sequel series, even inspiring a live-action film, but the original run of episodes starting in 2005 remains the most iconic. Though Ben would go on to unlock many more forms over the years, these Ben 10 original aliens were varied enough to give the boy hero an answer to any situation while never seeming too outlandish or over-specialized. Every member of Ben's starting lineup was useful to some degree, but...

Morgan Lofting, G.I. Joe and Spider-Man Animated Series Star, Dies at 84
Image
Morgan Lofting, who helped bring to life multiple iconic characters with her voiceover work, has died. She was 84 years old.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Lofting died "unexpectedly" on Wednesday at her home in Burbank, California. No additional details were shared about her passing, though Lofting's death was confired by her agents, Nery Lemus and Christopher Arsaga of CelebWorx. In a statement, the two noted, “As one of the 10 founding actors at our agency, she meant the world to us and our company."

Lofting was born on Feb. 2, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her career as a voiceover artist began in 1979 when she started voicing the role of Princess Invidia for the TV series Star Blazers. She followed this up with her casting at the voice of Aunt May Parker in the animated Spider-Man series that aired in the early 1980s; Lofting also provided the voice of Black Cat for the cartoon show.

This Fantastic 10 Season Series Was Unfairly Overshadowed by Avatar: The Last Airbender
Image
With some of the best storytelling for an animation series aimed at children, Avatar: The Last Airbender had an incredible fan base that stuck the show well into their adult years. For many, the series is one of their favorite shows overall, and it makes sense why. Since the series was so popular, there were other shows similar to it that didn't get as much attention but were equally great in their own right.

Many animation fans love to recall Avatar: The Last Airbender as one of their earliest introductions to anime and even manga. However, there is one American animated series that falls under the radar because it is considered either "not as good as Avatar" or "too corny to be in the same conversation as Avatar." What's interesting is that audiences are misrepresenting just how great this series is. In 2005, a superhero-themed series called Ben 10 started a...

‘Toxic Crusaders’ Animated Series Heads to Digitally Remastered Blu-ray from Troma
Image
In the late ’80s and early ’90s, it wasn’t unusual for violent movies like RoboCop and Rambo to be turned into Saturday morning cartoons for kids, but The Toxic Avenger still seemed like an unlikely candidate — until the 1984 low-budget gorefest was cleaned up for “Toxic Crusaders” in 1991.

An environmentally-conscious superhero cartoon in the vein of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and “Captain Planet,” the show ran for one season. All 13 episodes are coming to Blu-ray from Troma on December 10.

While originally animated on 16mm film, “Toxic Crusaders” was mastered on videotape for broadcast, including all digital effects and transitions. To present the series in the best possible quality, Troma has used advanced AI models to upscale the standard definition masters in high definition to capture the original broadcast’s intended experience.

Special Features for the two-disc set include:

20 Best Cartoon Network Halloween Episodes, Ranked
Image
The best Cartoon Network Halloween specials and episodes represent some of the funniest and most entertaining shows for younger viewers to enjoy during the spooky season. Cartoon Network was officially launched in 1992 and aimed at providing animated content. Though it operates under the same mindset as Disney Channel and Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network has never had as much success as the other children's networks. However, it has cultivated a home for its own distinct brand of animated content that has drawn in both kids and adult audiences over the years.

Since Cartoon Network is geared toward children, their Halloween-themed episodes tend to be less scary. Instead, they leaned into their weirdness (and sometimes grossness) to create fun and compelling holiday-themed episodes. The best Cartoon Network Halloween episodes offer a unique kind of fun that viewers of all ages can return to every year to celebrate the spooky holiday.

New Looney Tunes Movie Director Addresses Warner Bros. Shutdowns

Long Live Looney Tunes. Unfortunately, the same cant be said for a lot of other IPs once under the Warner Brothers banner. Among a laundry list of theatrical take-downs, website wipes and digital content deletions, WB recently scrubbed one of its longest-standing streaming services. Standing as the director and writer behind The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, Pete Browngardt commented on the recent cancelation of Boomerang, the all-around classic toon channel:

Its becoming more and more difficult to, at times, find classic animation thats out there. Especially with the streaming services. They are wonderful a lot of the time, but they are also the gatekeepers of whats available. I always say that if you love something, find a physical copy of it and keep it in your house. Several Cartoon Network Shows Have Been Removed From Streaming Without Warning
Image
In an unexpected move, several iconic Cartoon Network series have been removed from Max without warning. The streaming service is the home to various animated series but has dropped several modern classics. This sudden removal has impacted a number of beloved animated series, leaving viewers to question the reasoning behind this decision and the future of other well-known programs.

According to Collider, some of the well-known titles that have been removed include Ben 10, Steven Universe, Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, Chowder, and the 2016 Powerpuff Girls. These animated classics had previously been available on Max, where they enjoyed a dedicated following. Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns the network, has provided an official statement or explanation regarding the removal of these series. While such changes can be tied to expiring licensing agreements, there has been no indication of what prompted this particular decision.

‘Regular Show’ Warned Us of the Dangers of Streaming Eight Years Before David Zaslav Dumped the Show from Max
Image
Under Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav’s continued campaign of content erasure, animation fans mourn the destruction of Planet Nielsen.

In case Zaslav’s reputation among the cartoon community wasn’t low enough already, the controversial executive’s regime made a surprising and surreptitious move this week that sparked outrage across numerous online fandoms. Following the latest updates to the Max streaming library, seven Cartoon Network shows have disappeared from the premium streaming service, with Ben 10, Steven Universe, the 2016 Powerpuff Girls revival, Amazing World of Gumball, We Bare Bears, Chowder and Regular Show all pulled from service without so much as a “leaving soon” notice.

Now that the entire entertainment industry is firmly sliding on a downward slope following the peak of streaming, it seems that no TV series — no matter how beloved or endlessly quoted — is safe from the content cuts that have become company-wide policy under Zaslav’s leadership.

The Most Epic Fumble: Young Justice Was Canceled for the Same Reason as Generator Rex
Image
There have been a slew of cartoons to come out on Cartoon Network and other networks that featured animated shows that were killed for no apparent reason. Despite smooth productions, great storylines, and even sizable viewership, shows like Young Justice, Generator Rex, ThunderCats, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series just did not have what it takes to keep them on air.

Generator Rex || Credit: WB

While these shows had a lot of good storylines and great viewership behind them, action cartoons, especially the likes of Generator Rex and Ben 10, actually need one pillar to work out more than anything else: merchandise. The products that sustained these shows were usually toys, the sales of which would determine whether the investment behind the shows that were supposed to sell them was even worth it.

WB Officially Pulls the Plug on Live-Action Ben 10 Movie - Main Image

Every few decades are defined by certain pop-culture iconcs; the ‘80s had characters like He-Man and the Ghostbusters, the ‘90s paved the way for the animated X-Men, and the early ‘00s had none other than Ben Tennyson from the hit series Ben 10.

For many fans, the news came with a sigh of relief. After all, most of us remember the disaster that was the previous live-action projects. But there is another group, who might be a little bummed about the announcement. Many fans wanted Tom Holland to play the grown-up version of Ben Tennyson, the protagonist of the series. So they were put out about the fact that they wouldn’t get to see Holland with an Omnitrix. But maybe this cancelation is a blessing in disguise,...

Image
Ben 10, the super famous cartoon that shaped millions of kids’ childhoods – and continues to do so – has once again dodged a major bullet that could have seriously hindered its reputation: A live-action film. Warner Bros. announced this in the wake of events that seemingly confirmed that the animated projects just weren’t enough for them to derive enough profits and satisfaction.

However, it seems like the motion picture entertainment company’s wish to milk this cow to the core has fallen short, as exclusive reports reveal that the long-overdue Ben Tennyson movie has finally been canceled. Of course, this news comes as a displeasure to very few, considering how fans have already had enough of this character live through its 2 previously failed films.

The Live-Action Ben 10 Movie Gets a Devastating Update
Image
Although it's been more than 10 years without an update on the live-action Ben 10 movie, which was originally reported by Variety 13 years ago, fans had not given up hope that the movie was still coming eventually. However, it's now time to say goodbye, as the movie that was announced all those years ago has been confirmed to no longer be in development. Steve Richards, who had been tapped to produce the project in collaboration with Warner Bros., was recently on the red carpet to promote his latest project, The Killer's Game, the action flick with Guardians of the Galaxy stars Dave Bautista and Pom Klementieff. During the premiere, The Direct asked Richards if the live-action Ben 10 movie was still happening, to which he responded:...

Marvel's Avengers: Endgame Storyline Shares Many Similarities with Ben 10

Quick Links From Thanos Snapping His Fingers to Setting Off a Bomb The Third Episode Name Drops the Avengers (Almost) Time Travel Is a Genre All by Itself

Lets see. Replace the mad titan known as Thanos with a similarly-looking intergalactic alien warlord that goes by the name of Vilgax. Swap out the act of ridding the world of most of its heroes with a finger snap for a biomechanical explosive that does the same thing with a plume of doom. Oh, and instead of a ragtag team of Marvel heroes traveling back to certain points in time to collect the Infinity Stones, a character with the nickname of No Watch Ben and Professor Paradox go on the same type of time-hopping adventure to gather numerous types of multiversal heroes to take down the villain.

“We are never seeing another Ben 10 in our lifetimes”: Fans Complaining About American Cartoons Haven’t Watched These 3 Recent Masterpieces Yet

Millennials and early Gen Zs know the quality of cartoons that used to air on TV. Shows like Ben 10, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and more have become legendary due to their creative animation and amazing storytelling. So many iconic moments have been witnessed by kids around the world and are still remembered.

However, the old-era cartoons have been perceived to be ended. A generation that has entered adulthood seems to have a disconnect with more recent animated shows for kids. Even popular shows like Amphibia are being criticized for deriving too much from classic anime like Dragon Ball Z.

This Classic Cartoon Network Show Is Overdue For A Sequel (& Already Has The Perfect Setup)
Image
Codename: Kids Next Door deserves a sequel that follows up on the creator's ideas for a follow-up series. The Galactic Kids Next Door would be a dark follow-up with global stakes and a major role reversal. Modern updates and turning Numbuh One as a complex villain could bring back the beloved Cartoon Network series.

One of Cartoon Network's most entertaining original shows, Codename: Kids Next Door, deserves a follow-up sixteen years after it concluded, and it already has the perfect set up. Cartoon Network has been behind many of animation's most memorable creations, with shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe expanding beyond their original runs to incorporate spin-offs and sequel shows. Reboots of properties like The Powerpuff Girls and Ben 10 have been produced, but one of the best candidates for a follow-up only remains a possibility. However, the show's creator has teased what a sequel would be like if it were produced.

Ben 10: All 10 of the Original Aliens, Ranked
Image
Your browser does not support the video tag.

One of Cartoon Network and Man of Action's greatest triumphs, Ben 10 has remained popular ever since the first show was released in 2005. Ben 10 has since expanded into multiple series as well as a 2016 reboot, not to mention multiple animated and live-action feature films. The show stars Ben Tennyson, a kid who stumbles upon the alien Omnitrix, a watch-sized device that allows him to transform into 10 different alien species in the original series.

Despite the series' flaws in characterization and writing, there's clearly no lack of creativity. The premise makes the series unique among superhero series, and the art design for the aliens is nothing short of inspiring. All of Ben's 10 alien transformations are cool, but some are relatively more useful than others. The other aliens that appear in the classic show have also been mentioned.

“The new generation will never experience peak animation”: Even Robert Downey Jr.’s Avengers: Endgame Can Never Top Cartoon Network’s Ben 10/Generator Rex Crossover from 13 Years Ago
Image
You know what was perhaps the biggest, most climactic crossover in history? Here’s a hint, it’s not the portal scene from Avengers: Endgame, and don’t even think about Deadpool & Wolverine. It was when Ben 10 joined forces with Rex in the one-hour-long special Generator Rex episode that aired on Cartoon Network.

Avengers: Endgame (2019) | Marvel Studios

The amalgamation of that animated duo was so apical that it is still held special in many a millennial’s heart (and perhaps some Gen Z with good taste). And rightly so.

Avengers: Endgame Has Nothing Over the Ben 10 x Rex Team-Up

Captain America’s fabled ‘Avengers, assemble!’ command alone evoked a sense of harmony and an influx of overwhelming emotion in a fandom comprising more than thousands of people from all around the world.

Every Main Ben 10: Alien Force Alien, Ranked
Image
Ben 10: Alien Force was a darker series that was set five years after Cartoon Network's wildly successful Ben 10. The series made a huge decision right from the start: the Omnitrix was recalibrated and redesigned, which forced Ben to start from scratch with a completely new set of alien heroes. Now older, smarter, and more mature, Ben was able to master all of his new aliens in due time.

While the aliens from Ben 10 will always be the most iconic, Alien Force's aliens are entertaining in their own right. Each of them has a unique arsenal of powers and comes in handy for a wide range of purposes. Throughout his extensive career as a hero, Ben was able to find an excellent use for every one of these aliens, though some left more of an impact than others.

The Next Superhero Movie Franchise Should Be Painfully Obvious (So Why Hasnt It Happened?)
Image
Ben 10 has all the ingredients for a great live-action franchise, from unique abilities to compelling villains and a strong support system. Despite having two live-action TV adaptations, Ben 10 has yet to reach its true live-action potential with a big-budget theatrical release. The reluctance to create a big-budget live-action Ben 10 movie may stem from Cartoon Network's concern about risking its reputation and the series' limited reach.

It is obvious what the next superhero franchise should be, making it hard not to wonder why it has not happened yet. Although superhero live-action movies have been around for quite some time, they have garnered immense popularity in recent decades, allowing the sub-genre to become a dominant force in Hollywood. While some have welcomed the sub-genre's growing popularity with open arms, others have been fairly critical of its booming momentum. In recent times, however, the superhero genre has become overly saturated,...

Cartoon Network's Steven Universe Made History Behind The Scenes
Image
Cartoon Network has always been a place of experimentation. In the early years, shows like "Dexter's Laboratory" brought Sam Raimi references to animation. In the early '00s, shows like "Samurai Jack," "Ben 10," and "Codename: Kids Next Door," added deep mythologies and more serialized storytelling. And in the 2010s, the network experimented with visuals in shows like "Flapjack" and "Adventure Time," which brought weirdness back into Cartoon Network.

This experimentation continued, with animators who got their start on the likes of "Flapjack" going on to develop influential and fantastic shows on their own. Still, as bold and imaginative as all these shows were, they were still mostly white men in charge of creating those cartoons. That all changed in 2013 with the release of "Steven Universe" -- one of the best cartoons of the century and a deeply emotional and inventive show inspired by superheroes and magical-girl anime. The show follows Steven,...

Beginning in 2005, the Ben 10 Franchise has spanned nearly 2 decades with 5 television series, 5 movies, and dozens of video games, comic books, and external appearances. The show follows the adventures of Ben Tennyson, a boy who gets a watch that allows him to transform into different alien species in their prime. He travels the world, universe, and occasionally timelines, all on his quest to stop the forces of evil.

Ben 10 had a continuous through-line in the first 4 series in the classic timeline. Which Ben 10 Variation Would Be the Best Protagonist in a Reboot?
Image
Ben 10 creator hints at a more mature reboot that would focus on exploring deeper themes. A potential Ben 10 reboot could maintain the continuity of the original series. Although there are many versions of Ben Tennyson to choose from, the older versions of the character would fit the tone of a more mature reboot.

Ben 10 is an animated series that follows the journey of Ben Tennyson, a young hero who discovers the Omnitrix while on a family road trip. The Omnitrix, made of alien technology, permits Ben to morph into ten high-powered alien species, which he uses to combat evil. 7 Best Shows Like ‘My Adventures With Superman’ To Watch If You Love The Series

My Adventures with Superman is one of the most brilliant superhero animated series. Created by Brendan Clougher, Jake Wyatt, and Josie Campbell, the Adult Swim series tells the story of Superman aka Clark Kent as he starts his new job at The Daily Planet, with his roommate Jimmy Olson, and his senior intern at The Daily Planet who is none other than Lois Lane. They quickly become a team and try to bring in big stories so that they can become real reporters while Clark also tries to become the hero he is meant to be.
