    Very nasty Gloria. Bummer episode.

A very complex, almost disturbing episode how Gloria speaks to her mother. The point is Archie rarely gets his own way on major issues. Edith has the final say. But she gets the final say circuitously. She can't be expected to go to war and fight Archie every day. Gloria attacks her parents. But they're ok for her & Mike to mooch off of. Episode is below par. I wouldn't watch it again in the near future.

    • Trivia
Edith mentioning Archie, one time, gambling his entire paycheck in a poker game plants the seeds for "Archie the Gambler" in the next season.
    • Goofs
When Mike & Gloria are arguing in their bedroom, there's some kind of a racket on the wall. Initially, it's hanging in one direction. When Mike moves out of the way, it's hanging in another direction.
    • Quotes

Archie Bunker: Don't go blaming nothing on God that youse women brung on yourselves.

      Gloria Stivic: What?

Archie Bunker: Yes, that's right. You don't believe me, read your Bible. Read the story about Adam and Eve there. Adam and Eve, they had it pretty soft out in paradise. They had no problems, they didn't even know they was naked. But Eve, she wasn't satisfied with all that, see? And one day against a direct order, she made poor Adam eat that apple. God got sore. He told them, "Get your clothes on and get the hell out of here".
