Cyber Leader: [approaches the Doctor] You are proof.
The Doctor: Of what?
Cyber Leader: That emotions destroy you.
The Doctor: Yeah. I am.
[hears a noise behind Cyber-Leader]
The Doctor: But mind you, I quite hope.
[looks past Cyber-Leader]
The Doctor: Hope's a good emotion, and here it comes.
[the Cyber-Leader follows the Doctor's glance and sees a team of black suited people appear in the control room. Their leader yells orders to the others who shoot the three Cybermen with their energy blasters. As the Cyber-Leader walks out of the office, the team leader shoots him in the chest with his energy blaster, causing the Cyber-Leader to collapse to the floor on his knees and his head explodes]
Jake Simmonds: Doctor, good to see you again.
[the leader takes off his mask. It's Jake, smiling at the Doctor]
The Doctor: [bewildered] Jake!
Jake Simmonds: The Cybermen came from one world to another, and so did we.
[the Doctor stares at Jake in stunned silence]

Jake Simmonds: [to his team] Defend this room. Chrissie, monitor communications.
[the Doctor puts on his 3D glasses]
Jake Simmonds: Kill one Cyber-Leader, and they just download into another. Move!
[the team runs off, leaving Jake with the Doctor]
The Doctor: You can't just-- just-- just HOP from one world to another. You CAN'T.
Jake Simmonds: We just did. With these.
[tosses the Doctor a yellow button disk that can be worn around the neck]
The Doctor: But that's impossible. You can't have this sort of technology.
Jake Simmonds: We've got our own version of Torchwood. They developed it. Do you wanna come and see?
[goes to press his button]
The Doctor: [reaches out his arm] No!
[Jake presses his button and transports him and the Doctor to the parallel world's Torchwood Rift chamber]
Jake Simmonds: Parallel Earth - parallel Torchwood. Except we found out what the institute was doing and the people's republic took control.
The Doctor: I've gotta get back. Rose is in danger. And her mother.
[Pete Tyler walks in with two soldiers]
Pete Tyler: That'd be Jackie.
[the Doctor looks at Pete in surprise]
Pete Tyler: My wife in a parallel universe. And as for you, Doctor, at least this time I know who you are.
The Doctor: [runs over to Pete] Right, yes, fine, hooray. But I've gotta get back. Right now.
Pete Tyler: No, you're not in charge here. This is our world, not yours. And you're gonna listen for once.
