Tammy Grimes as saloon singer Angie Clark performs two contemporary songs, "My Sweetheart's the Man in the Moon" and "Hello! Ma Baby," which date to 1898 and 1899 respectively. These songs conform to the series' circa 1900 timeline as established in Riff-Raff (1962), in which the Virginian, Trampas, and Steve fought in the Spanish-American War of 1898.
Actors Ken Lynch (Sheriff Tony Marino) and Brad Weston (Deputy Fred Daily) will appear alongside each other again in The Devil in the Dark (1967).
