Yet another very weak script from this uncharacteristic "Quinn Martin Production".

A police officer is shot and killed by gangsters. And a police lieutenant (Mike Stone, actor Karl Malden) is taken hostage by those same gang members. But the police department "can't spare the manpower" to look for the culprits?

Get serious! In real life, a 10 block area of the city would have been locked down, an intense manhunt by dozens of police officers and marshals would be underway.

Entertaining story, but it's hard to take this show seriously.

    • Trivia
The "crooked" street Stone and Keller drive on is not Lombard Street as most people would think. It is Vermont Street which has been proven to be even more crooked than Lombard.
    • Goofs
The food cans knocked over during the grocery store robbery were obviously empty. Also, no store would stack cans in such a way that could easily be bumped by customers.
    • Quotes

Angela Barberio: [Discussing the Cobra streetgang] They were like a lot of the boys. The traditions are breaking down. They live on the streets.

George Barberio: I tried to help them at first. Maybe I was wrong. I gave them groceries, or a couple bucks.

Angela Barberio: They took advantage. It just got out of hand.

Detective Lt. Mike Stone: It happens, Mrs. Barberio.
