- Ready to go on vacation, O'Neill is beamed away by the Asgard. Thor tells him that Earth is faced with an enemy even worse than the Goa'uld.
- While taunting Carter that leave means leaving to have fun, not staying behind for more research, Jack is suddenly beamed aboard the spaceship of the Asgard Thor, who explains he is dying, and his ship is falling victim in the war against the Replicators, all-infesting mechanical bugs which literally devour to multiply; the ship's transport and self-destruction mechanisms are now also disabled, but their next target will be earth if they manage to land. Jack contacts SGC, asking advice and forbidding SG-1 to join him, but they do after the general overrules the colonel, assuring him they have a way back. After Sam makes sense of Thor's notes about the 'techno-bugs' and discusses them with him, she comes up with a plan to explode the ship and the bugs and escape by stargate, but it depends on meticulous timing and Teal'c placing explosives at the outside, which proves even more dangerous than it sounds.—KGF Vissers
- Looking forward to a week of leave and fishing in a clear mountain lake, Jack O'Neill is teleported aboard the Asgard ship in orbit around the Earth. The Asgard Thor is aboard but is quite ill and dying. His ship has been invaded by Replicators, mechanical creatures that self-replicate and to which he had once alluded to as an enemy far worse than the Goa'uld. He needs for O'Neill to find a way to destroy the ship and everything on board. O'Neill knows he will not likely survive and requests explosives from the SGC. With Daniel in the infirmary after an emergency appendectomy, Teal'c and Major Carter decide to deliver the explosives personally. Carter thinks she's found a way to destroy the ship and allow them to escape.—garykmcd
- The SG-1 is on vacation: Daniel has just been operated on for appendicitis; Teal'c is visiting his son on another planet; Sam is entertaining researchers; and Jack is seeking company to go fishing in Minnesota. While inviting Sam, he is unexpectedly beamed aboard the Bilskirnir, the Asgard Thor's spacecraft. He sees mechanical bugs and learns that Thor is dying. He explains to Jack that the creatures are the dangerous Replicators that ingest metal alloys to replicate. Further, Thor has destroyed the transport so that nobody can leave the Bilskirnir that is heading to Earth. Jack contacts the SGC and requests explosives to blow up the Bilskirnir and gives direct orders forbidding Sam and Teal'c to join him. However, his friends arrive in the spaceship since General Hammond overruled his orders. How might they survive without means of transportation?—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
