The 'Education Mayor' runs into problems.
kfo949414 January 2015
In this episode, Mayor Winston is out to become the education mayor and is in a press conference to announce a new junior high school named after him. But in the conference, one of the student complains about the Standardized 8th grade test being too hard. When she asks the Mayor one of the question, it is obvious he does not know. To save grace, Mike agrees to let the Mayor take the complete test. But the Mayor is going to have a little help.

In the long and rugged story of Mike and Nikki's relationship, Mike has hired a therapist to see if they can work things out. But it appears the therapist is more interesting in Nikki than helping the relationship.

Some of the parts of the Mayor opening a new school is humorous but little else. One of the better parts is Paul dressing up in the mascot's uniform but that is very short lived. I know some will not agree with me but the relationship of Mike and Nikki seems to be lingering like a bad cough. We are on the second season and still it feels like watching high school teenagers after school has been dismissed. All I can hope for is the writers go either way with the situation because it is getting stale. But I will say the episode did end in a funny manner when Stuart is accepted as a member at a gay gym, well at least for a moment.
