Summer Sucks (#2.8)

This is one of the episodes where the main story line was not as interesting to me as the little things that were happening in between.

The main story is about explosives being banned so Jimbo and Ned go to Mexico to get some for the 4th of July while the mayor works on a giant snake as a replacement. Some funny moments but nothing great.

Great was though was watching Mr. Garrison dealing with the loss of Mr. Hat. His session with the psychologist was pretty good especially when analyzing his hidden homosexuality. And we are now introduced to Mr. Twig as a replacement.

Cartman also had some fun moments in this episode. I love his "Screw you guys, I am going home!". The line that I myself can't stop using.

Summer is Just Okay

Okay episode after two okayer episodes. Not bad at all, still has the same humor as the earlier South Park episodes, but I dig it, the story with Mr. Garrison and Mr. Hat is pretty funny. 7.1.

Introducing Mr Twig

Summer Sucks is a pretty memorable episode of South Park.It contains the famous "Screw You Guys Im Going Home" line as well as the introduction of Mr Twig, the twig that replaced the puppet mr hat because the puppet and Garrison were having personal problems.This episode is about the boys at first being excited about summer, but then some kid in north park gets his hand blown off while playing with fireworks, therefore fireworks are banned.The kids cannot play with anything and are bored.Cartman takes swimming lessons to kill the boredom, only problem is the first graders keep urinating in the pool! Meanwhile, Stan's uncle Jimbo and Ned travel to Mexico to smuggle fireworks and get caught! Mr Garrison cannot find Mr Hat and is depressed. Also, since fireworks are banned, the mayor has a big idea to build a giant snake firework(which is legal) so South Park can have a big celebration, however the snake goes out of control! This episode has a bit more subplots than other episodes.Summer Sucks is a funny and good South Park episode.
