Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder is a great Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and plenty of very funny scenes. It's a very fun episode as we see Homer become a celebrity for a short amount of time after bowling a perfect game, we see him rise to the top, and eventually fall, it becomes an emotional episode as we see him struggling with losing fame, and it seems to be an accurate portrayal of how one hit wonders play out in real life. The only problem I really had was that the plot is quite messy, it jumps around a lot and at times it feels like it has no idea where it's really going, it seemed to be written on the spot and there wasn't enough work put in to constructing it properly. I liked the scenes towards the end between Maggie and Homer, it was nice to see their relationship develop and I feel they should have more episodes like these, I believe this is the first one since Homer Alone in season 3 to do so, it's always nice to see Homer give his youngest, and admittedly most forgettable, child some attention. Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder wouldn't be a highlight for the eleventh season, but it's a fun episode nonetheless.
