A heavily pregnant Mandy is knocked aside during a purse robbery at Kash's shop and gives birth to Lip's baby, but her family forbid contact. Elsewhere, Kev is given a racing tip not to be shared with anyone else.

Mandy goes into labour after a run in with a masked robber inside the corner shop. Lip desperately wants to visit his new daughter, but will Mandy's parents allow the visit? And if not, just what will it take for Lip to prove himself to them. Meanwhile, Kev has a sure bet on a horse which will rake him and Veronica in a wad of cash if it wins. Trouble is the entire estate, egged on by Frank, gets to hear about the sure bet lowering the odds for Kev and Veronica.—Anonymous

Mandy is robbed,sending her into labour but the Maguires refuse to let Lip see his daughter Katie. However when Paddy announces he will make it worthwhile for anybody who recovers the bracelet the thief stole Lip locates the culprit, a mute lad,who survives near death at the family's hands but runs off without returning the spoils. Kev gets a sure fire racing tip and is sworn to secrecy but somehow it gets about the entire estate,lowering the odds. For all that Frank still has money for Sheila's birthday present - probably because he was in the shop when the robber dropped the bracelet.—don @ minifie-1
