- Jerry's parents hire their friend Izzy Mandelbaum to become Jerry's personal trainer while George decides to associate food and television with his love life.
- Jerry starts gaining weight and his parents hire Izzy Mandelbaum (see episode "The English Patient") to assist Jerry as a personal trainer. Kramer starts giving blood and uses his own refrigerator to store it, but it freaks Jerry out. Then, George starts dating a woman who uses incense, and he gets the idea to associate food and sex with his love life. He makes something called "pudding skin singles" using an Exacto knife. Back at Jerry's, he yells at Kramer to get the blood away from him, but then he pounds the table and the Exacto flies at him and cuts his throat. Jerry loses blood and Kramer gives Jerry some of his, causing Jerry to freak out. Meanwhile, Elaine is out in the suburbs visiting her friend Vivian. Vivian wants somebody to watch her troublesome son Jimmy but she doesn't think Elaine is responsible enough. So Elaine goes to great lengths to prove it, even taking Kramer's spot. Vivian then tells Elaine that she is experiencing some health problems, and that Elaine might be on deck as a permanent babysitter for Jimmy. The next day, Izzy shows up at Jerry's and takes him to a gymnasium, circa 1920. Kramer keeps trying to get Jerry to pay back the favor of donating blood by letting him and Newman watch a video. Unfortunately, it's an instructional video on how to make your own sausage. Izzy sees the sausages and orders them to be thrown out. George ups the ante on his Caligula complex by eating pastrami sandwiches during love making. Elaine watches little Jimmy but is quickly running out of purses. The next day Newman and Kramer are mad at Jerry and Kramer asks to borrow Jerry's car to take his blood back to the blood bank. Jerry obliges and, but the engine in the car burns out and Kramer uses blood to replace the oil. George decides to up the ante again and add television to the equation but then his girlfriend finally catches wind of what George is doing and dumps him. Later that day, George gets infatuated at the coffee shop eating a sandwich. After that, Jerry meets up with Izzy, who ties Jerry to the back of his car and starts pulling him. Jerry collapses when Izzy's son speeds up the car when he notices blood dripping on his feet. George meets Vivian, who shares his passion for the erotic qualities of salted cured meats. George meets Jerry in the hospital and now he's watching out for Jimmy. Jerry learns who the blood donor is this time around, and it's Newman.—halo1k
- Kramer has taken to storing several units of blood at a local blood bank, just in case. When he gets into a dispute with them he decides to take the blood home, which Jerry finds absolutely disgusting. George has a new girlfriend who burns incense while they have sex. The smell makes him ravenous and he starts to eat during their love-making. After several comments telling him he's getting pudgy, Jerry decides to start an exercise regimen. He also decides to get a personal trainer and ends up with Izzy Mandelbaum. Elaine is upset when her friend Vivian suggests Elaine may not be responsible enough to babysit her son Jimmy. She insists on proving herself but regrets having to up with the devil incarnate.—garykmcd
- Jerry's parents are concerned about his lack of exercise and thus Jerry, realizing he is out of shape, starts a purification program to improve his diet. Jerry's parents eventually buy him sessions with an elderly personal trainer, Izzy Mandelbaum (Lloyd Bridges), who's going to help him work out.
Elaine visits her friend Vivian (Kellie Waymire) and is disappointed when Vivian implies that Elaine is not responsible enough to watch her son Jimmy (Colton James). Vivian asks Elaine if she knows anyone responsible enough to babysit Jimmy.
Meanwhile, George decides he needs to add food as a part of his sex life when his girlfriend lights some vanilla-scented incense, whose overpowering scent makes him hungry. His girlfriend only tolerates some food items and is disgusted when George attempts to kiss her while eating a sandwich.
George then contrives a way to separate pudding skin from the pudding, creating pudding skin singles. George believes that this is a great idea and wants to take it commercial. He arrives at the decision to add television to his equation so as to make food and sex even better ("the Trifecta"). George claims that food and sex are his only 2 passions and he decides to persists in his attempts to bring them together. However, George's girlfriend becomes displeased upon discovering him eating a pastrami sandwich while watching a portable TV during foreplay. This later creates problems for George, as he cannot eat anything without becoming aroused.
Kramer has been storing his blood at a blood bank whose rates increase and, retaliating, he decides to store the blood himself. He tries to borrow Jerry's freezer but he refuses, so Kramer borrow some freezer space from Newman. Vivian then decides that Kramer would be a good choice for a baby-sitter; however, Elaine orders him out and declares that she'll take over. Kramer tries to complain, but Elaine pushes him out. Jimmy is a handful and Elaine has a torrid time with him. But she allows Jimmy all sorts of leeway to prove to Vivian that she can be responsible. Vivian has some sort of medical problem and assures Elaine that she will call on her to take care of Jimmy when required.
Jerry sustains a hobby knife wound which causes him to require a blood transfusion; ultimately, he receives three pints of Kramer's blood. Jerry becomes upset, saying that he can feel Kramer's blood borrowing stuff from his blood. He becomes even more distraught when Kramer deems him a blood brother and later takes even greater advantage of Jerry by reminding him of their new tie, such as using Jerry's apartment for his own needs e.g. making sausages, to which Izzy mistakenly assumes belong to Jerry, so he increases the training. Izzy gives a flat bed to Jerry to sleep on.
Meanwhile, Jimmy proves to be a very bratty kid and Elaine comes to hate her new responsibility, so she tries to make herself appear irresponsible (she smokes cigars, falls asleep and has no clue where Jimmy is). This doesn't work as Jimmy is safe and sound and Vivian gives all the credit to Elaine. To avoid being responsible, Elaine uses George as a "pinch weasel." The plan is that Elaine will get George to substitute for her, and he is bound to mess up, and as such ruin Elaine's reputation as a baby-sitter by association. However, George decides that he has found the woman of his dreams due to her sensual appreciation of pastrami.
Kramer borrows Jerry's air-conditioned car to return his blood to the bank, as Newman kicked him out of his freezer. The car overheats because the radiator is dry, but not for long, as he fills it with blood. Jerry's final workout with Izzy results in another blood transfusion; however, the blood is not Kramer's, but Newman's (Wayne Knight), much to Jerry's horror.
