Interesting TV episode
searchanddestroy-17 September 2010
Warning: Spoilers
It seems that it is the only TV episode show that Edmond O'Brien made. He directed two movies, film noirs. I don't remember the titles. But I can say they are fairly good.

This TV episode is rather à drama, in the line of Arthur Penn's THE CHASE, where, in a small town, a man is falsely accused of a murder and threatened to be lynched by the mob. O'Brien plays here the lead character, a journalist who tries to save the innocent man's neck.

We find here such "faces" as Emile Meyer, as the mob leader, and Robert Middleton.

An acceptable TV show. It really looks like a classic feature but shorter. The topic and the story construction have nothing to do with Alfred Hitchcock Presents - or Hour - story lines, which are typically TV products, with twists endings.

Here, everything is predictable, as in a classic movie.

But it's worth seeing.
