Rosanne looks fantastic

While the last season just flat out stinks I just wanted to take a moment to say how great Rosanne looks. Love the confidence. Too bad on the body shaming of Jackie and rosanne even if disguised as fun jokes but they both look great.

Roseanne should not have let her writing staff go

THIS is what happens when she does.

This episode was completely devoid of humor.

Making fun of someone's body or skin is not funny.

It is hard to imagine that the season 9 DVD would sell very well. Without the comedy writers it is just not funny.

Unfortunately, the same thing happened with the season 10 reboot. They were not able to get the original writers from the early season of the show (or could no longer afford them).

A sitcom without humor is just a silly drama. It is unfortunate, as the first 4 or 5 seasons were fairly funny.

And Roseanne herself is quite generous, typically giving the funnies lines to Dan, Jackie and Darlene.

Pampered to a Pulp (#9.6)

Warning: Spoilers
Roseanne and Jackie arrive at the spa but it isn't as great as they hoped. They are being treated badly when their problem zones are being found. The massage and yoga are not fun at all. They are not given any real food because they are on a strict diet and they are made to do hiking.

The episode had fun moments. The only problem is that it was for the most the same joke repeated over and over again. I did laugh through the part of their problem zones being discovered but then it was just the same stuff again. I get though, spa is not as fun as it seems. The massage scene reminded me of the time me and my friend had a massage and instead of feeling pampered felt hurt.
