Officer Terry Webster: [Officer Terry Webster, off-duty in regular clothing, is driving Pamela Hines, a witness to a crime, back to her car. They are in Terry's sports car and have engaged in conversation about the crime she had witnessed] Where's your car?
[Pamela points to where her car is parked and Terry drives toward it and parks next to it]
Pamela Hines: [Pamela, holding her dog, Holly, opens the car door and steps out, as does Terry. She asks Terry about the murder victim] You're not sorry he's dead?
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry puts his hand on Pamela's elbow as he walks her over to her car. Pamela is a beautiful woman and Terry is very attracted to her. He smiles, almost shyly, at her as he asks her for a date] Well... I'm not uh... condoning... what happened, but... ummm, what I am doing is putting this whole conversation on a very down mode, which won't help me ask you out tonight.
Pamela Hines: [Pamela and Terry are standing next to the driver's side of her car; she's bent over, putting Holly inside. She turns to face toward Terry as she answers] I have a class at the University.
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry looks back at Pamela, clearly smitten. He really likes her and wants to take her out on a date] Well, that can't last all night..what about after class?
Pamela Hines: [Pamela had resumed bending over her car; now she straightens up and looks back at Terry] That won't be until 9:30.
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry is still gazing at Pamela] Well, I've been known to stay up that late for a good cause, seeing that I've never met a girl from the Bahamas.
Pamela Hines: [Pamela laughs] Not Bahamas... Jamaica.
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry smiles] That's what I said... seeing as I've never met a girl from Jamaica. Kingston?
Pamela Hines: [Pamela smiles and laughs coyly] No.
Officer Terry Webster: Montego Bay?
Pamela Hines: [Pamela is still smiling coyly] No.
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry laughs softly and his eyes are dreamy] Well, those are the only towns in Jamaica that I know, so...
Pamela Hines: Ocho Rios.
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry is looking deeply into Pamela's eyes] That's exactly what I said... seeing as I've never met a girl from Ocho Rios... in Jamaica...
Pamela Hines: [Pamela is finding herself attracted to Terry as well. She sighs and smiles at him] Ok. I'll meet you outside the design building at the University at 9:30... ok?
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry is flattered that Pamela accepted his invitation. He smiles and laughs in delight, then opens her car door for her] Ok... .thank you.
[Pamela sits down in her car]
Officer Terry Webster: Ummm, leave Holly home, ok?
Pamela Hines: [Pamela looks over at the dog in the seat next to her. She turns back toward Terry and smiles broadly] Well, I'll discuss it with her.
Officer Terry Webster: [Pamela starts up the car as Terry smiles and laughs] You talk to dogs?
Pamela Hines: [Pamela laughs delightedly as she's finding Terry very attractive and is looking forward to spending time with him] Yes. And trees and several other things.
Officer Terry Webster: [Terry, likewise, is very attracted to Pamela. He smiles broadly at her] Leave Holly home... ok.
Pamela Hines: [Pamela smiles at Terry as she's backing her car out] Bye...
