Episode #1.3

Ihn a way this show reminds me of Sex and the City. Only with males. It is about four different friends, who are all special, want different things and we see them going their ways. I only have a problem with Brian. He isn't just promiscuous and indifferent to the guys he sleeps with, but he seems to be a heartless asshole to his friends as well. And this is what makes it hard to like him

The rest of the group are great. I like all three of them. In this episode I loved to see Emmett and Michael going to Ted's house to deal with his dildos so that his mom doesn't see it. Also loved the dildo fight, made me laugh a lot. And I also loved the scene after they find out that Ted like Michael. Very sweet and well acted.

Justin has an interesting story. I feel bad for his mother because it seems to be so difficult for her. I don't think she has an issue with him being gay, but just doesn't know how to deal with it. I liked the scene of Debbie talking to her. I only cringed when after Debbie told Michael he will get her a mink coat one day. I don't really like when support of animal cruelty is included in the dialogue.

We also had another emotional mother-son scene between Ted and his mom. I really didn't like the line she had when she asked Michael if this would ever have happened if Ted was with a girl. Not because of the attitude, but because it sounded so unnatural. Yet the conversation she had with Ted really brought tears to my eyes.

Another solid installment

"I've always said it isn't who you love, it's how you love. Genitalia is simply God's way of accessorizing." ~Debbie

With this fourth episode of Queer as Folk, the relationships between the characters start to become more boldly drawn and the writing and acting continues to amaze. After Justin's mom questions Justin about having a boyfriend, he essentially freaks out and flees to go find Brian, thinking that Brian will know exactly what to do. Ted also lies in a coma as a result of the drug that Blake gave him in the previous episode. This episode has a couple of great and beautiful sex scenes and Brian's character continues to go in all sorts of crazy directions. Overall another solid installment in Season 1.
