Dylan Baker usually plays psychotics. He has that look like he is sweet but full of rage underneath, fooling everyone. This is a classic Agatha Christie type plot where there are too many suspects to focus on one specific one. There is the daughter who throws herself into the fray in a Witness for the Prosecution effort. We have Eleanor committing all kinds of stuff at the crimes scene. The guy is a senator and hence has people sympathetic because how could a guy like this commit such a crime. We also have a judge who is affected by the celebrity and the high profile nature of the case, trying to be reasonable when no one deserved it. And then the firm fighting all along the way. I guess there's a part two. Should be interesting.
