- Pam Elliott: They sure leave fast, don't they?
- Walt Shepherd: [chuckles] No creature on earth moves faster than an exiting high school student.
- Pam Elliott: Who are you?
- Nadra: [looking much younger than the last time Pam saw her] I'm... Mrs. Kretsky.
- Pam Elliott: And I'm Katherine Hepburn! Who are you, and what are you doing in our cabin?
- Matthew Star: What's up?
- Walt Shepherd: What's up is that ring I saw around Pam's neck. She told me a... carnival fortune teller gave it to her.
- Matthew Star: Yeah, it was just a piece of junk jewelry.
- Walt Shepherd: What did she look like?
- Matthew Star: Eh... an old gypsy lady around 65 or so.
- Walt Shepherd: Did she have brown hair?
- Matthew Star: No, grey. Shep, why all the questions?
- Walt Shepherd: Because, Matthew... that ring that she gave you, belonged to your mother.
- Matthew Star: They may be holograms, but they sure look a lot like Pam's home movies.
- Walt Shepherd: [small chuckle] Well, I have a feeling that home movies look pretty much the same on every planet.
- Matthew Star: I'm scared to death that I can't live up to what's expected of me.
- Nadra: I used to listen to your father speak of being afraid.
- Matthew Star: My father? He was afraid?
- Nadra: Often. It's as sure a sign of courage as any I know.
