Miss Lemon's first name is given to be Felicity.
Poirot and Hastings attend an Italian wedding at the "roof garden." This was likely at Derry & Tom's, a London department store that was founded in 1860 in Kensington High Street and was famous for its Roof Garden which opened in 1938.
Hastings intends to buy a new car which he proudly shows to Poirot in the showroom. When Poirot comments on the complexity of the engine, Hastings says, "They're using twin overhead camshafts, you see, with a desmodromic valve gear and a hemispherical combustion chamber." Desmodromic valve gear, where rockers control both the opening and closing of the valves, has actually never been seen in a road car. It is most often associated with the Ducati vee-twin motorcycles. The car is identified as an Eliso Freccia, a fictitious brand represented by a 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C. Obviously a valuable car like this can't be damaged for the filming, so a drivable VW bug chassis had a mock-up of the front of an Alfa 8C grafted onto it and this is what is shown in the collision.
