    Pipe Dearm

***SPOILERS*** Private eye Peter Gunn, Craig Stevens, working part time to pay off his bills as an insurance investigator gets involved in a case of murder as well as insurance fraud in the shooting the face off of Paul Condon, Clyton Post. It was Condom who tried to blow the whistle, before getting his head blown off, on a plan to get both the insurance of a cash of $500,000.00 in stolen or missing jewelry-that was hidden in a drain pipe- and at the same time keeping the gems without the insurance company or the police from knowing about it.Gunn gets right down to business investigating the owner of the jewels Lois Lee, Jane Weintraub, who tries to butter Peter up by telling him what a striking pair of nice baby blue eyes he has.

It's Peter Gunn's head not eyes that gets battered around in the episode by what turns out to be Lois' accomplice or I assume estrange husband William Lee, Dale Van Sickel, who she claims is not Condom-the murdered man-but the person who got his face blown off making him unrecognizable. Getting his sore head back together after being battered around Peter guns down to the city waterfront where Lois together with Mister Lee plan to take off in their private yacht to Mexico with the stolen jewelry!

***SPOILER*** Long drawn slug fest between Peter Gunn and Mr. Lee as police Lieutenant Jacoby, Herschel "The Bird" Bernardi, arrived with a squad of policemen and puts the cuffs on both Lee & Lois before they have time to ship out. We can't forget the old man-known as "Old Sleepy"- by the bay or at the docks who at first is mistaken by Peter and members of the TV audience as a store front wooden Indian Burt Mustin who's information, when he finally woke up and started talking, lead to both Lee & Louis's arrest. As for Liet. Jacody he at the end of the Peter Gunn episode turned green and was forced to induce vomiting, off camera thank God, by getting severely sea sick by him just him stepping on the yacht to arrest the two jewel thieves.
