Here Is Your Past

This is a very funny episode, and you have to admit that the OUR MISS BROOKS tv series had some excellent writers. Generally, many of the 1950s tv comedy series had writers who began their lengthy careers in radio twenty years earlier. "Here is Your Past" is an obvious parody of "This is Your Life," only instead of friends and cherished memories, its the opposite! Among the guests is Miss Brook's butcher who wants to be paid ASAP! Oh, the humanity! Eve Arden is confronted by a mysterious gentleman who "insists" she come along with him to appear on this bizarre show! Philip Van Zandt plays the man in black, who appeared regularly with the Three Stooges in similar roles. Gale Gordon ( Lucille Ball's short tempered boss, Mr. Mooney), is always fun to watch as the long-suffering "Oh, noooo!" Mr. Conklin, the principal. This should be on CBS dvd (SEASON 3) though selected episodes have been on dvd for years. Recommended.
