It's a good first episode.

Stan Butler is unhappy at a change in his workkng pattern, now having to get up for a 5.30 start.

It's the first episode I've seen, I'm afraid its reputation kept me away from it, until now.

This first episode wasn't what I was expecting, I thought we'd be in for a degree of bawdy humour, with bust blondes galore. In fact, it's a very amusing start, plenty of funny moments,

It serves to introduce the characters at home, Olive, Arthur, and of course his wonderful mum. Plus we get to see his work colleagues.

For me, Cicely Courtneidge was an absolute riot as mum, her timing and delivery were so good. I can see she'll be embarrassing Stan multiple times over.

We didn't get to see much about Olive, all we know is that she smokes and coughs a lot, I'm sure her character will develop an awful lot.

Really did enjoy it, 8/10.
