Childbirth and all its implications fill up this episode. Shelly is getting close and it is decided she should have a shower. Maggie plans it and it is really a downer. The gifts are mostly tasteless or utilitarian and Shelly begins to feel her lack of knowledge about the upcoming event. She finally escapes the party and then the surreal stuff starts. Chris is at his know it all worst here and is eventually thrown out of the party. Joel and Maggie realize that they have a secret between them. Ed makes up the rest of the story, when his agent comes to see him. He pretty much tells Ed that his script has no commercial possibilities and asks him to turn it into a violent film with AK-47's and reprisals. It's just another ordinary episode.
