A Roman Catholic priest is shown officiating the wedding ceremony between Jocelyn and the fictional Duke of Salisbury. In the real world, the Catholic Church requires six months or more of classes known as Pre-Cana before celebrating a marriage. Catholic clergy would be very unlikely to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony with only a few days' notice, and definitely not with a groom chosen minutes beforehand. The ceremony as shown would likely require several dispensations directly from the Cardinal Archbishop of New York.
