This nutty episode may have been inspired by a story on Dick Van Dyke's tv show a few years earlier. Dick became a drunk in two seconds, now it's Robbie's turn and what is his fate???

Robbie gets on a tv show featuring a hypnotist called Dr. Zoltan (played by Booth Colman). His name alone is intriguing, and Colman was the right choice for the role, playing a ton of crafty villains in his day.

One thing, there's an impressive female cast here -- who get themselves hynotized. However clever, the best part is getting Bub mixed up in all this, and William Frawley is a hoot, the perfect choice.

Sandy Descher plays Marjorie, who gained fame as the lost girl in the cult sci fi THEM.

Mary Jane Saunders (who passed in 2021) was married to Yankees and Dodgers baseball star Jay Johnstone. Ann Marshall (Claudia) made nine appearance on the show, also playing Mrs. Brown's daughter on MY FAVORITE MARTIAN. And did Herman's Hermits name their hit song (Mrs. Brown You Have A Lovely Daughter) after her?
