The Tribunal is operating in a manner similar to what is now called a Star Chamber. The original Star Chamber was a court that operated in England from the 15th to 17th centuries and was established as a way of enforcing the law against those whose power would make ordinary courts hesitate. It became synonymous with oppression through its arbitrary use of power and modern courts that ignore due process are referred to as star chambers.
