There were significant changes to the opening credits to begin the 10th season of "Murder, She Wrote". Several brief clips from Season 9 were added, "She Wrote" was typed on a computer screen, and toward the end, the typewriter showing the sentence which started "Arnold raced out the door" was replaced with a side view of Jessica Fletcher printing out a manuscript on her computer, and as the theme music ended, a smiling Jessica appearing to like what she saw before placing it in the "Murder, She Wrote" folder.
No filming took place in Hong Kong. All scenes were shot in California. Some filming took place in Chinatown, Los Angeles.
English actor Barrie Ingham (Brian Dunbar) also appeared in S2.E5 "Sing a Song of Murder" as a different character (Insp. Roger Crimmins). Ingham and Angela Lansbury starred together in the 1973 London production of the musical Gypsy: A Musical Fable.
James Sutorius (Mark Tower) appeared in five episodes as different characters (S2.E4, S5.E10, S8.E9, S10.E1, S11.E17).
