Linc Hayes: You got it.
Capt. Adam Greer: You believe him?
[Linc sits in stone-faced silence]
Capt. Adam Greer: I could have him brought down to headquarters for questioning. Maybe that would shake him up.
Linc Hayes: I think Herbie's been shook up enough already. Four years ago he was one of the top-rated basketball players in college. His grades slipped and he was drafted to Vietnam. While he was there his kneecap was shattered. So now he's a cab driver.
Capt. Adam Greer: I'm sorry, Linc, but we're talking about murder one.
Linc Hayes: Do me a favor. Give me some elbow room.
