    Walter In A Compromising Position

Arthur and Vivian are having an anniversary party and by mistake invite both Maude and Walter.

Another funny chapter in the Maude/Walter breakup story. Two good guest stars appear. Maude arrives at the party escorted by Bob Myers a senator. He is played by James Olson (at that time appearing in many crime shows as a villain. He has hair transplants in his balding head which is the source of some funny quips. Walter arrives with a cute young blonde Kathy (Bernadette Peters). Maude and Walter argue and alcoholic Walter starts drinking again. He and Arthur go back to his pad, Arthur had put on one of Kathy's shoes as a joke. He passes out in the bed next to Walter. Maude comes in thinking Walter is in bed with Kathy, setting up the next episode.
