Stanley Adams has a bit part playing another detective doing some leg work for Mannix. In his office Mannix calls him "Chip" but on the end credits his name is listed as "Alby". In previous seasons Mannix had had a similar friend, played by Joe Mantell (called Albie Loos) in season 2 and then later by Milton Selzer (also spelled as Albie) for one episode in season six.
RECYCLED PROP: when Mannix sits with a man at the restaurant where the dreadful duo act ends the scene singing, one of the red glass candleholders with its white mesh "bra" is prominently displayed on the table. This prop has made it in nearly every Mannix title whenever they're at a restaurant or bar.
While talking to Joe, the electrician refers to a barefooted guitarist who was electrocuted the previous year in London on a wet stage. The details are different, but guitarist Les Harvey was electrocuted onstage in Swansea in May 1972.
