MacGyver is assigned to protect a person in the Federal Witness Protection Program. The man he is protecting wants to come out of hiding to visit his dying mother. MacGyver must protect him from the Mob and from the Feds.

A man wants to testify against his mobster brother in Federal Court,and Macgyver has the job of keeping him safe. There's a problem though. The man's mother is dying,and he wants to visit her. Can Macgyver help him visit his mother,and protect him from his brother at the same time.—adnyuk

Frank Bennett whose the son of a mobster but is not in the business. He's being asked by the government to testify about the family's drug operation. He meets with MacGyver who will be handling his witness relocation. He says he hasn't decided if he will testify. Suddenly some men grab him, MacGyver follows them. Frank's being taken to his brother Joey who runs the drug operation. He asks him why is he going against the family. Frank says his drugs are killing people including someone he knows. Joey tells Frank he's a hypocrite because everything he got was from their father and him and he deserves to die. Frank tells Joey to do it himself and was about to when MacGyver saves him. After what happened he agrees to testify and is taken by a government agent. Frank asks him to talk to his mother who is in the hospital. He goes and tells her about Frank and Joey and she understands. She says she wants to see Frank because she's dying. MacGyver goes to the Federal building and talks to the agent and tells him about Frank's mother and he refuses to let Frank go. MacGyver then gets him away from them and they go to the hospital but his mother is gone. They learn Joey took her home. He wants Frank to come to him. Frank does that and Mac is ready to go in with the Feds but Joey tricks them into going away so Mac has to help Frank on his own.—rcs0411@yahoo.com

Before Mac can get details about his protection job for mob witness Frank Bennett, who is to testify against his brother Joey, federal marshal Wiley arriving even later, goons abduct him to the late mob baron's home. Mac gives chase and manages to escape with Frank about to be shot, but the charge insists to visit his dying mother in hospital. Riley wants to lock Frank up rather then provide protection, but Mac keeps him out, only to find mother moved home, an obvious trap set by Joey. They decide to take the dare, improvising so Frank can be her dying moment visitor and Mac breaks them out after barricading the attic, still setting a trap even deceived Wiley can't mess up.—KGF Vissers
