- [first lines]
- MacGyver: When I was about ten I got my first chemistry set. I've been a beaker and test-tube nut ever since. My mom said I was gonna come up with a formula that would either improve the world... or blow up the house.
- Harry Jackson: There was a time when I could run all day without breaking a sweat. I tell ya: it's hell getting old.
- [while running up a stairwell with his son]
- MacGyver: Age is only in the mind, Harry.
- Harry Jackson: Well, my mind tells me I'm gettin' old.
- Harry Jackson: Hey, bud; where in the Sam Hill are you goin'?
- [Macgyver has a flash back]
- Young MacGyver: Dad, who's Sam Hill?
- MacGyver's Father: You've been talking to your Grandpa Harry again?
- Young MacGyver: Yeah. Who's Sam Hill?
- [last lines]
- Harry Jackson: [as MacGyver picks up a bag and opens the door] Where you going?
- MacGyver: With you.
- Harry Jackson: Wha...
- MacGyver: Well, first of all you packed half my stuff in your suitcase. And I want to spend some time with my Gran-pa.
- Harry Jackson: Maybe the tickets aren't here. Maybe your friend, Pete, took them.
- MacGyver: [Looking through Pete Thornton's desk] No, he doesn't like hockey.
- Harry Jackson: How can you work for a guy like that?
- Harry Jackson: I don't think we are going to make it to that game.
- MacGyver: [Looking for misplaced hockey tickets] Come on, Harry, be positive.
- Harry Jackson: I'm positive we ain't gonna make it to that game.
- Harry Jackson: [Mentions his fear of dying alone] I'm scared of that, Bud.
- MacGyver: I never thought you'd be scared of anything.
- Harry Jackson: Never was 'til now.
- MacGyver: You know, when I was a kid, I used to have nightmares, and you used to tell me, "Being scared's a lot worse when you're all alone."
- Harry Jackson: I was right.
- MacGyver: You're not alone, Harry. Neither am I. It's just taken us an awful long time to figure that out.
- MacGyver: [Hiding momentarily from a gunman in a stairwell] Let's go, Harry.
- Harry Jackson: That's easy for you to say. You're not running on my knees.
