- Caroline Ingalls: Mrs. Oleson, on Sunday I will go to church. And I will ask God to forgive me for this.
- [Picks up bread dough and slaps it on Mrs. Olseon's face]
- Caroline Ingalls: But to tell you the truth, I think the Good Lord would have done the same thing!
- Caroline Ingalls: [to Nellie as she leaves the restaurant] I'll be back in 15 minutes. Make sure your mother's *gone*.
- Sylvia Webb: [when Mr. Webb loads his gun to kill Albert] Pa, no! He's my friend! He was only here for a few minutes and then he left!
- Mr. Hector Webb: What was he doing here? What was he doing?
- Sylvia Webb: Nothing! Pa, please believe me. Believe me, for once!
- Mr. Hector Webb: I can't! How can I believe a whore?
- Mr. Hector Webb: [bursting into the Ingalls home, rifle drawn] Where is she? Where's my daughter?
- Charles Ingalls: How dare you come into my house with a gun!
- Mr. Hector Webb: Sylvia!
- Charles Ingalls: She's not here. Now, get out!
- Mr. Hector Webb: I will, after I have it out with your son! I'll get the truth out of him if I have to kill him!
- Charles Ingalls: [pushes Hector out the door and knocks him to the ground, the two men briefly fighting in the rain as Albert grabs the rifle] No more!
- Mr. Hector Webb: [struggling as Charles holds him down] Let me up!
- Charles Ingalls: [punches Hector in the face] No more!
- [pulls him to his feet]
- Charles Ingalls: Albert! Tell him the truth! Tell him the truth now!
- Albert Quinn Ingalls: [referring to Sylvia's pregnancy] It wasn't me! I never did anything!
- Mr. Hector Webb: Swear it! Swear it to God!
- Albert Quinn Ingalls: [firmly, with conviction] I swear to God!
- [as Albert's words sink in, Hector slowly comes to his senses and realizes that his daughter wasn't being a "whore", but had been brutally raped, causing him to become overwrought by grief as Charles comforts him]
