All aspects of the show indicate that Mayfield is located "somewhere" in the Midwest, maybe Madison, Wisconsin or Cleveland, Ohio. However, in this adventure, Wally, Eddie and Lumpy find themselves on a dock to talk to a fishing boat captain. The short scene set-up shows a fishing boat dock crowded with commercial fishing boats one would expect to see on an ocean port, such as San Francisco or on the Gulf of America. It looks really out of place for Mayfield.
In his references to the book "Two Years Before the Mast" by Charles [sic] Dana, Eddie refers to Southern California's Dana Point. Given Mayfield's location somewhere in the Midwest, it's odd that Eddie would be familiar with that small California coastal town.
Eddie Haskell twice refers to the classic book "Two Years Before the Mast" as being written by "Charles" Dana. The author's name is Richard Henry Dana Jr. (usually rendered without "Jr.").
