In the story Michael Knight doubles for an actor played by David Hasselhoff's stuntman Matt McColm. In reality McColm did the stunts for Michael Knight during the show, doubling the man who's playing his own stunt double.
The girl in the electric vehicle (Jerri Parros) asks RC 3 if he is "the guy who runs through the airport jumping over luggage." This a reference to series of Hertz Rent-a-Car commercials from the 1970's that featured football star OJ Simpson running through airports in slow motion, jumping over luggage, signs and other obstacles.
When Michael and K.I.T.T. drive to Stage 28 for the first time, they drive through what was a filming location for the Back To The Future films (the courthouse on the right and the movie theatre on the left). K.I.T.T. is driving down the same road (but opposite direction) that the DeLorean time machine travelled when Marty McFly was transported back to 1985 in the first film (which was released the year before this Knight Rider episode aired).
During the chase through the back lot of the studio in the background there is the burnt out wreck of a Colonial Viper from the original Galáctica: Estrella de combate (1978) series, also by Glen A. Larson.
Bonnie, like Patricia McPherson, is a big fan of Westerns. Michael jokes that he'll get her a "gutsy Maureen O'Hara role" - exactly the kind of part Patricia McPherson stated she would like try in a US TV Guide interview.
