Beautiful

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was something that I thoroughly enjoyed. For one it started off really poorly but it picked up beautifully.

The hero for me of course was ... no, not Superman but Vandal Savage! He shows us that everyone has a good heart but it takes time (a lot of time in some cases) for the sense to kick in. There were some really good punch lines from him.

BTW Superman looked cool without his superpowers and with his new beard! Batman held his head high till the end and I really liked Luthor's cameo.

One of the best episodes.

Superman: Road Warrior
crazelord18 February 2022
People always say that Superman is a bad character because he's boring and has no depth. While I'm sure he's hard to write for to be interesting, in reality there's so much to explore about him. This episode shows how much Superman isn't just who he is bc of his powers, but bc of the kind of person Clark Kent is.

It is funny to me how I think the most unbelievable thing about an alien super human transported into the future by a animated toy man is that he's able to fashion a full sword with a pipe and some road flares. But it's just really cool to see Superman basically become mad max. Modding abandoned cars and fighting off wolves with makeshift weapons.

Superman will always be Superman, regardless of powers. Because what makes him who he is is an internal power. His unrelenting optimism and personal strength.

Fantastic and Touching Episode

I really like the Mad Max analogy to this. Just well written and executed. It's incredible how much was fit into this one episode but the most powerful was the emotional human touch. Superman and Randal Savage are very well portrayed here. The entire portrayal of the mysterious planet Superman is on and the twist as he gets nearer his goal is incredible. I am almost done watching both seasons and now I understand why this is considered one of the top episodes. The Justice League would never be complete without Superman. Love the series thus far. Episodes such as this are what make this series so great!

Teared up watching this

Warning: Spoilers
This entire 2 part episode is my favorite from the Justice League. Superman is the leader of Justice League and we have seen him taking the battle away from the team due to his physical strength. But in this episode there is no league, there is no one to save but himself. Superman is without his powers but his character is still of a leader. He found way to fight back vs Wolves and got back to the watchtower where there is surprise waiting.

Only other character from this episode is a man who won't die. So what will we have when an immortal meets a comic book God. Well, actually not much. Savage is not depressed since he spent so much time alone, but the change in his behavior is refreshing. And Superman who is used to being a leader, even devoid of his powers, encourages Savage to get back in time.

When I saw Savage in the middle of the episode, I teared up. The episode hits on a philosophical level. What does a conqueror get if there is nobody else to conquer. In the end he is a lonely human who is going to roam the earth without interacting with a single human. And he is the reason for this so he must punish himself. Wow.

Superman Into The Future
WillBeatz7 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I can't get enough of time travel stories. I adore the stories that time travel can tell. This is an episode that I really liked. In it, we witness Superman being zapped into the future, when Vandal Savage has destroyed Earth. He and Superman then work together to go back in time and stop Savage from killing Earth. Though I'm not a huge comic book fan, I thought it was fascinating that Superman was able to lose his powers and survive in the wasteland. It was also new to me that he had grown a beard. Because I'm obsessed with the time travel genre, I really enjoyed this episode overall. Back To The Future Meets Superman 😁
