I really enjoyed the image of Harm's father being portrayed in this episode. It gives a sense of "Is Harm's father rally here?" especially the part at the end when he discovers something that the "vision of his father" told him was actually true, and he would have no way of knowing it. Because this is the first episode where we really see Harm's obsession with finding his father, this small glimmer of hope that his father is alive keeps him strong. I definitely enjoyed the fact that weather or not he was there is up for interpretation, in this episode at least. How did this "hallucination" of his father know something that HE didn't know? Very well written and executed. I have to admit, I shed a couple tears during this episode. It was truly touching.

"The Prisoner"

After Meg was in serious danger in "Hemlock", it's Harm's turn to - pardon the pun - be in harm's way in the twentieth episode of JAG's first season.

En route to Hong Kong for official business, Harm is doing some sailing and is abducted by Chinese forces, who try to make it seem like he died in an accident on the ocean. He is interrogated by some kind of specialist who uses mind drugs to get the information she wants on a looming American policy decision. There is a mysterious occupant in the cell next to Harm's.

Meanwhile, Meg and Krennick work well together as they try to determine whether Harm is dead or not.

Parts of this episode I really liked liked. Other parts - especially the mysterious cell occupant next to Harm - I wasn't as sold on.
