Uh oh. Pregnancy emotions.

Warning: Spoilers
It's pre-pardem depression for the mother to be, a rather serious topic for a sitcom in the 1950's. It starts off on a funny note with Lucy practicing bathing a doll resulting in some very humorous visuals as she treats the doll in ways no mother would treat a baby. She begins to think that Ricky is now more interested in the baby than in her, and her depression results in a few teary moments, but mostly has her feeling just down and unemotional. With the help of Ethel, Ricky decides to surprise Lucy with a night of romance, but of course, with Lucy, nothing ever goes as predicted.

A rather dramatic story with comic overtones makes this a unique episode, but it's more story based than laugh based so those expecting usual Lucy mishaps will be slightly disappointed. But as far as the story is concerned, this is realistic and gives us more of an insight to the real goings-on in such a situation, and the acting is excellent.

Good episode for husbands and wives who have dealt with pregnancy. It is frustrating for both sexes.
