"What House Across the Street?" finds Jeannie still in marriage mode, willing to wed Roger if her master doesn't comply. Her genie Mama (Lurene Tuttle) visits with advice on how to reach the altar, Roger ecstatic that Jeannie has accepted his marriage proposal. With no home of her own to welcome Captain Healey, Jeannie blinks up a house on the vacant lot across from the Nelson residence, with a family consisting of commercial advertisements come to life. By some coincidence, the new owner of the property happens to be Dr. Bellows, who spots a house where there wasn't one a few hours ago, while inside Captain Healey endures an evening of torture listening to one pitch after another from Jeannie's 'parents' (left holding the bag once again). In episode 2 "My Hero?" Jeannie's mother and father were both mortals, so the mythology changed not only from one year to the next, but during the season as well. The episode's one shot general is played by the familiar face of Jack Collins, while the very next entry would introduce the show's longest lasting general in Barton MacLane's Martin Peterson.
