Captain Healey finally discovers Jeannie's secret
kevinolzak6 November 2016
"Richest Astronaut in the World" opens with Roger still searching for the missing Jeannie, wondering if he should hire a detective agency to find her. Tony makes the mistake of leaving Roger in his house while he attends a meeting with Dr. Bellows, picking up her bottle and watching her emerge from the smoke: "I've been looking all over for you, and all the time you were right here in the bottle!" (no sooner are the words out of his mouth than he faints dead away). Now that he knows Jeannie's secret Roger lets his greed get the better of him, tricking her into getting back into the bottle and stealing it right from under Tony's nose. We get to see what kind of trouble Tony would get into if he were as demanding as Roger, whose sudden wealth comes under suspicion from Dr. Bellows and General Peterson (Barton MacLane), who assume he's been bribed by a foreign power. Naturally he calls upon old buddy Tony to get out of trouble, provided he return his genie to her former master. 17 episodes in Roger would become an even more integral part of the team, now that he's in on the secret.

The Plot Thickens

Warning: Spoilers
Tony can't keep Jeannie all to himself forever. Here for the first time, Roger gets control of the bottle and the lady who comes with it. Of course Roger can not restrain himself the way Tony has. Soon he has a mansion like the Taj Mahal and more richs than anyone except Roger could possibly need.

Being as rich as Bill Gates and an Astronaut do not mix. Soon Roger is in all kinds of hot water. With Bill Dalileys recent death, here is his character in excess of everything and totally out of control until Tony can get his lovely woman back. Always worth watching, there' plenty of humor in this episode.

This show cements the bond between Tony and Roger Healy who are going to go on to baffle Dr. Bellows for several more seasons.
