Tony and Roger both become majors in this episode.
Tony and Roger go to Nellis Air Force Base and then to Stead Air Force Base. The former is close to Las Vegas, the latter, to Reno. In 1966, the year after this episode aired, Stead Air Force Base was closed and it became Reno-Stead Airport, a general aviation airport.
When Jeannie pops in or out, the trick is done by having the actors freeze while she exits frame, then start up the action again on cue. Her exit is then edited out later. There is usually a small jump in the actors' movement on this edit. In the scene near the beginning, when Roger enters Tony's house, there is no discernible cut between the time when Tony crosses to the closed door, opens it, and then closes it again revealing Jeannie behind the door. The only explanation is that, because the house interior is a set, there was a movable panel to the left of the door where Jeannie could've slipped in behind the door while Tony had it open. A real magician's move.
Ted de Corsia (1905-1973) who plays the pit boss/casino security, is in a later IDOJ episode as a mobster who is married to a woman who Tony is dating and who Jeannie turns into a chimpanzee.
